What We Do (and What We Cannot Do)
661Paralegal provides legal document preparation for self-represented clients and for people who need help typing, formatting, and organizing court paperwork. We can help you assemble a clean, complete packet with proper captions, attachments, declarations, exhibits, and service forms based on your direction and the information you provide.
We are not attorneys. We do not provide legal advice, we do not choose your strategy, we do not tell you what to say in court, and we do not represent you at hearings. If you need legal advice, we encourage you to consult a licensed attorney. |

Domestic Violence Restraining Orders (DVRO) Document Preparation
Domestic violence restraining order paperwork can feel overwhelming because the court requires specific forms, clear declarations, and properly organized exhibits. We help you prepare a court-ready DVRO packet based on what you tell us and the documents you provide. This typically includes typed forms, a well-structured written declaration, and organized exhibits (photos, screenshots, messages, reports, or other materials you choose to include).
A DVRO packet often requests orders related to personal conduct (no harassment or contact), stay-away provisions, and other protections. When applicable, restraining order paperwork may also include requests involving child custody and visitation and other related issues that the court’s forms address. We do not tell you what to request; we prepare what you direct us to request.
Our DVRO document-prep support commonly includes: preparing the initial request forms, organizing your declaration into clear, numbered paragraphs, labeling and attaching exhibits in a professional format, and preparing the service paperwork that is often required so the case can move forward properly. We can also prepare paperwork for renewals, modifications, or terminations of restraining orders when needed. |

Other Restraining Orders (Document Preparation)
Not every restraining order is a domestic violence restraining order. We also prepare paperwork for other types of protective orders when appropriate to your situation and the court’s requirements. These cases still require accurate forms, clear declarations, and properly organized exhibits, and they often require correct service documents as well.
Common protective-order paperwork we prepare includes civil harassment restraining orders and elder or dependent adult abuse restraining orders. We can also assist with follow-up paperwork after a hearing, including orders after hearing, amendments, renewals, and related service forms. Our role is to prepare documents at your direction so you can file and proceed with your case as a self-represented party. |

Family Law Document Preparation
Family law cases require detailed forms and supporting paperwork, and courts are strict about completeness and formatting. We prepare family law documents for self-represented clients in matters involving divorce, legal separation, parentage, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, and post-judgment modifications. We help you assemble a professional packet that is easier to file, easier to serve, and easier to present to the court.
Divorce and Legal Separation (Petitions, Responses, and Judgments)
We prepare initial filing packets (commonly including the petition, summons, and related first documents), as well as responsive documents when the other party has filed first. If your matter proceeds by agreement, we can type and format settlement documents based on the terms you provide and prepare related paperwork for submission. If your matter proceeds by default in appropriate circumstances, we can prepare the necessary default and judgment paperwork based on your information and the required court forms. We focus on producing a clean, organized set of documents so you can file with confidence.

Child Custody and Visitation (Parenting Plans)
Custody and visitation matters often involve multiple documents, detailed proposed orders, and a parenting plan that is practical and specific. We help you prepare requests to establish custody/visitation or to modify existing orders, along with supporting declarations and exhibits you choose to provide. We can also help you type a clear parenting plan schedule that addresses the regular week, weekends, holidays, school breaks, exchange locations, transportation details, communication expectations, and other practical provisions you want included.
Because custody matters can be sensitive and high-stakes, it is especially important that the paperwork is complete and easy for the court to follow. We focus on clarity, structure, and organization so your packet presents your information in a professional format.

Child Support and Spousal Support (Document Preparation)
Support paperwork requires careful attention to financial details and accurate attachments. We prepare support-related documents based on the information you provide, including requests to establish, modify, or enforce child support or spousal support orders where applicable. We can also prepare accompanying declarations and help you assemble supporting documentation in an organized way. Our goal is to present your financial information clearly and consistently across the forms you are required to file.
Financial Disclosures (Organizing and Typing Required Packets)
Many family law matters require formal financial disclosures, and missing or incomplete disclosure paperwork can cause delays and frustration. We help you organize and type financial disclosure forms and assemble supporting documents you provide, such as paystubs, tax documents, bank statements, and schedules of assets and debts. We also help format the packet with logical labels and tabs so it is easier for you to file and reference later. While we do not advise you on what to disclose, we can help you present what you provide in a neat and court-friendly format. |

Requests for Order, Declarations, and Hearing Packets
Many family law issues are handled through request-for-order filings and hearing packets. These matters often require multiple forms, a clear declaration, properly labeled exhibits, and correct service paperwork. We prepare your request packet based on your direction, type and format supporting declarations, and organize exhibits in a structured way with labels that match references in your declaration. We also prepare service documents when needed, because service is frequently a critical step that can determine whether the court will proceed with a hearing.
If you receive court feedback or need revisions, we can help update the paperwork and reassemble a clean packet so you are not stuck redoing everything from scratch. |

Evictions (Unlawful Detainer) Document Preparation
Eviction cases can move quickly and are paperwork-intensive. Whether you are a landlord trying to recover possession of a property or a tenant responding to a filing, it is important that the documents are accurate, timely, and properly formatted. We help prepare and organize common eviction-related documents based on the information you provide. We do not provide legal advice or represent anyone in court.
Our eviction document preparation commonly involves preparing notices, organizing supporting materials, preparing unlawful detainer court packets, and typing responses or related paperwork when appropriate. We also help ensure that the documents are assembled in a clean, professional format so you can file and serve them as required. |

General Civil Document Preparation
Civil matters often require structured forms, typed declarations, and properly labeled exhibits. We assist with document preparation for a variety of civil filings by typing and formatting documents based on what you provide and by organizing attachments into an easy-to-follow packet. If your matter requires multiple exhibits (such as messages, invoices, photos, or letters), we can label and format them so they are easier to reference in your declaration or supporting paperwork.
We can also help organize paperwork for small claims matters, including assembling documents, formatting a clear timeline summary based on your notes, and preparing exhibit packets for hearing day. Our goal is to help you present a clean and professional set of documents, even when you are representing yourself. |

Name Change (Adult or Minor) Document Preparation
Name change cases can involve multiple forms, required notices, and properly prepared supporting documents. We help prepare the paperwork for an adult name change or, where applicable, a minor name change, based on the details you provide. We can also help you assemble a hearing-ready packet and organize supporting documents you choose to include. If the court requ |
Estate Planning Documents (Preparation)
Many people want essential planning documents prepared in a clear, professional format. We can assist with document preparation for common estate planning paperwork such as a California statutory will, power of attorney, and advance healthcare directive, based on the information you provide and the forms or templates you select. If you have specific wording you want included, we can type it accurately and assemble a neat packet for your records and signing. We do not provide legal advice about what you should choose; we prepare the documents you request, based on your directions. |

Probate, Guardianship, and Conservatorship (Document Preparation)
Probate and related matters can involve detailed forms, notices, and supporting documentation. We help clients prepare and organize probate-related paperwork and, where applicable, guardianship or conservatorship document packets based on the information you provide. These matters often require multiple filings over time, and our focus is on producing clear, organized documents and exhibit packets that are easy to reference. If you receive a court request for additional documents or corrections, we can help revise and reassemble the packet. |

Criminal Record Relief (Document Preparation When Applicable)
Some clients request help preparing paperwork related to criminal record relief, such as petitions to dismiss eligible convictions (often referred to as expungement), and other court forms that may be available in certain situations. We prepare documents based on the information you provide and the court forms required. Because eligibility can be complex and fact-specific, we do not advise you on eligibility; we assist with the preparation and formatting of the paperwork you request. |

How It Works
We keep the process straightforward and professional. You tell us what you need prepared, provide your information and documents, and we assemble a clean packet for your review. After you confirm accuracy, we finalize your documents in a filing-ready format. If your matter requires service paperwork, we can prepare the appropriate proof-of-service forms based on the method of service you use.
